Our Organization

Grant County Unified Community Resource Council is a free public service resource. The county is served by five organizations that make up the GCUCRC: Family Resource Council, The Literacy Council, Keeping the Faith Women’s Shelter, and Kathy’s Closet & Food Pantry.  Our service groups work together to assist without duplicating efforts. Without regard to color, sex, religion, or country of origin, we seek to secure financing for any community projects that benefit the residents of Grant County, Arkansas. Serving more than 18,000 people, we strive to treat everyone who enters our facility with respect and dignity while offering help or directing them to those who can do what we are unable to.

Since it was founded in 1987, the GCUCRC has been working to strengthen links with the communities we serve. Collaboration within the community, in our opinion, is our best strategy for advancing our cause in Grant County. We are serious about our mission and are deeply committed to our purpose and the clients we serve.

Our Mission

The purpose of the GCUCRC is to help those who are in need on a social level and to augment or enhance the current services. We provide these people support in the following areas: emergency financial, living, and health-related needs; food, clothes, information on social services; education; utilities; housing; information on jobs; and a refuge for victims of domestic abuse. As demands evolve, new programs are established.

"Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much." - Helen Keller
